Equate Witch Hazel is an FDA-registered astringent made with 86% witch hazel (Hamamelis virginiana) and 14% alcohol by volume. It's meant for external use to help calm minor skin irritation from insect bites, minor cuts, and scrapes.
Many people also use it as a facial toner to help reduce the look of oily skin. As with any astringent, keep it away from eyes and discontinue use if irritation persists.
