Ashwagandha, also called winter cherry or Indian ginseng, is the root of Withania somnifera, a nightshade-family plant used in Ayurvedic practice for thousands of years. This powder is certified organic, grown without synthetic fertilizers, growth regulators, or pesticides for at least three years.
In Indian kitchens it's traditionally blended with honey or ghee and other herbs into a seasoning called churna, or simply stirred into yogurt, juice, or smoothies.
