Black Cohosh Actaea Racemosa or Cimicifuga racemosa), is native to North America and also goes by the names of black bugbane, black snakeroot, or fairy candle. It is mainly used for female gynecological issues due to its prevelant estrogen-like compounds (isoflavones) .
Majoram leaves are commonly used to flavor soups stews and dressings. It has a mint like taste and smell but is said to be very similar to oregano though milder. It has various medicinal values and is said to help regulate the menstrual cycle and cramps in woman, protect against ulcers, lowers blood sugars and has strong anti-oxidant properties.
